Life is everything but easy for the 22 year old Clevelander, Ezri. With a mother out of work due to her battle with breast cancer and an older brother incarcerated, Ezri was forced to give up a well-deserved college scholarship to take care of his family. He returned to the Neal Terrace housing projects where bullet casings litter the ground and drug dealing is an unfortunate career choice for most of its residents.
At the age of 11, Ezri began writing music simply as a means of entertainment. Over the years, this hobby became a way for him to express his feelings and paint the story of a struggling teenager. The support that Ezri received for his melodic and lyrical music was eye opening and paved the way for him to achieve once unimaginable experiences of sharing a stage with childhood idols: Drake, Kenrick Lamar, Future, and more.
This was not all; Ezri then appeared on Shade45’s ‘Sway in the Morning’ show, where he displayed a 4 minute freestyle that took the internet by storm. Not only were the fans of hip-hop impressed but it caught the eye of one of hip hop’s greats Nas who later signed him to his record label Mass Appeal.
Ezri’s career has since taken off and he even landed a lead movie role in “The Land”, which later premiered at Sundance.
Ezri is looking to take his talents to the next level with the release of his mixtape in March 2019 & and his debut LP to be released later in 2019.
